Huatacondo Solar Plant

Project description

The 103 MW Huatacondo photovoltaic plant has 365,000 solar panels on 150 hectares, equivalent to 180 football pitches, and 72,000 separate foundations. The plant plans to generate production of 275,000 GW/h of clean energy, which will supply over 70,000 people, and will avoid the emission of 105,000 tonnes of CO2 per year. Over 500 people worked on the construction of Huatacondo, leading to the creation of new jobs in the Tarapacá region, where the project is located.
