France – Spain electrical interconnection

The interconnection, declared a project of European interest, will double the electricity exchange capacity between the two countries.

Main features:

• With a length of 65 km and using underground technology, the 320 kV (2x 1000 MW) line connects the districts of Santa Llogaia, in Girona, and Baixàs, in France.
• It represents an exceptional challenge for Eiffage Energía and its contribution to the creation of the European electricity market.
• Turnkey project.
