The largest 100% photovoltaic self-consumption facility commissioned in Spain, developed by the Cosentino Group and built by Eiffage Energíawill be commissioned in a few weeks.
The facility is located in the municipalities of Partaloa and Cantoria, within the Industrial Estate that Cosentino owns in Almeria. This week, our CEO and managing director of Eiffage in Spain, José Manuel Martínez, accompanied, among others, by Daniel Garrido, international Renewable Energies director, visited the plant and to explain some of the new developments.
Together with representatives of Cosentino, José Manuel Martínez toured the facilities where Eiffage Energía will shortly begin an extension. This project consists of the installation of 14 new MW of photovoltaic power on the roofs of Cosentino’s warehouses on its industrial estate. It will be executed by means of a fixed flat-straight structure.
First quarter of 2023
The project is scheduled to enter into operation during the first quarter of 2023. It is an extension that strengthens the new renewable energy management model already established by Cosentino.
The new facility will generate approximately 20,000 MWh per year. This, added to the already 34,000 MWh per year generated by the initial 20 MWp installation, will account for 40% of Cosentino’s annual consumption.
In addition to the tour, the representatives of Cosentino and Eiffage Energía shared their concerns, market vision and business forecast, and arranged an upcoming visit to the headquarters of Eiffage Energía in Albacete, where they will be able to experience how the developed projects are monitored from our Control Centre.
