Eiffage Energy in Expansión. The financial newspaper Expansión has published a special on Energy and Sustainability in which we are featured as a worldwide benchmark in both areas.

In the publication, under the headline “Eiffage Energía, a worldwide reference in energy and sustainability based in Albacete”, the newspaper spotlights the creation of Eiffage Energía’s Transversal Sustainability and Innovation Department, our headquarters as an example of a sustainable and eco-friendly project, and some of our emblematic projects, such as the Núñez de Balboa PSFV, the “S4 Solar” plant in Huatacondo and the Paradise Park plant in Jamaica.

The article highlights the lines of action of the company’s low-carbon strategy. Strategy based on three pillars: Innovation, Digital Transition and Ecological Transition. To this end, they say, Eiffage Energía draws on the experience of its more than 3,750 employees, over 100,000 operations per year, and 18 years of continuous learning in the jobs completed all around the world.

Commitment to sustainability

They also mention the CSR and Sustainability strategy in all our activities and the commitment to sustainability. In this respect, they point out the Eiffage Group’s high level of awareness, which has made us pioneers in calculation of the Carbon Footprint.

As for our commitment to the environment, they point out how Eiffage has recently seen its score rise from B to A- in the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) 2020 Climate Change ranking, a global standard for environmental disclosure, showing itself to be a leader in sustainability.

Sustainable and eco-friendly headquarters

Regarding our headquarters, inaugurated in January 2019 at its historic location on Carretera de Mahora, they state that it is an example of sustainability and energy efficiency. In this sense, they emphasise that the headquarters meets the highest standards of sustainability and energy efficiency, making it a reference in this area also in our country.

Construction area

They also mention the construction area, stating that, through our Conscytec subsidiary, we have accumulated extensive experience in projects and construction work certified under the most important sustainability standards, such as LEED, BREEAM and Verde-BGCe, through industrialisation strategies and the use of eco-efficient materials such as wood.
