Eiffage International Committee. The Chairman and CEO of Eiffage Group, Benoît de Ruffray, has chaired a meeting of the company’s international committee at Eiffage Energía’s headquarters in Albacete. This is the second time the meeting has been held in Spain. Before the meeting, all the Committee members, accompanied by the CEO of Eiffage Energía and managing director of Eiffage in Spain, José Manuel Martínez, toured the new control and management building at the company headquarters. Solar power stations all over the work are monitored, operated and maintained from this centre. The building holds an “A” Energy Efficiency certificate. The facilities have a unique photovoltaic façade. Among the services that it houses are O&M, the Research Department and a warehouse on the ground floor.
Campanario photovoltaic megafarm
During his visit to Albacete, Benoît de Ruffray visited the work site of the Campanario photovoltaic megafarm to see its progress. It should be remembered that Eiffage, through Eiffage Energía, was awarded the EPC contract for this PV farm by Elawan Energy, for an amount of more than 120 million euros. Located between the districts of Bonete and Higueruela, the project involves the construction of 5 adjacent photovoltaic plants, each with 50 MWp. The total capacity will be 250 MWp.
It will provide power to about 122,000 homes and prevent the emission of more than 187,000 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere.
The Chairman and CEO of Eiffage Group also travelled to Madrigueras to visit the Eiffage Metal facilities; and to the “La Cabrera” quarry operated by Eiffage Infraestructuras. These are the two subsidiaries that, along with Eiffage Energía, make up Eiffage’s delegation in Spain.
Meeting with the President of Castilla-La Mancha
During his trip to Spain, Benoît de Ruffray spent a weekend in Toledo where he held a meeting with the President of the regional government, Emiliano García-Page. At this meeting he re-emphasised Eiffage’s commitment to the economic development of Castilla-La Mancha. In the company of José Manuel Martínez, the Chairman and CEO of Eiffage Group also learned about Puy Du Fou Spain. This is an ambitious project that combines family-focused leisure activities with an incredible staging of some key episodes and characters of the history of our country. Eiffage Energía has contributed to this project by constructing two of the main show venues.
