Cuevas de Velasco. We have worked on the construction and evacuation system of the Cuevas de Velasco Wind Farm, developed by Haven Energy in the province of Cuenca, between the municipalities of Torrejoncillo del Rey and Huerta de la Obispalía.

We took charge of constructing the accesses; internal roads; installation platforms; foundations; drainage; cable trenches; medium voltage network; communications; and grounding.

It will produce over 300,000 MWh per year

The Cuevas de Velasco wind farm will have a total of 19 wind turbines with a unit power of 5.5 MW, a total power of 100 MW and will produce more than 300,000 MWh per year, thereby contributing to the objective of generating cleaner, cheaper and more efficient energy. In addition, it will supply 71,428 homes and prevent 96,250 tons of CO2 from entering the atmosphere per year.

These are the most powerful turbines currently installed in Spain.

Cuevas de Velasco evacuation system

We also built the evacuation system associated with the Cuevas de Velasco wind farm, consisting of:

-The “Villar del Águila” 220/30kV substation. This consists of a Line-Transformer position and an ONAN/ONAF 90/120 MW power transformer.

-A 220kV Metering Centre, adjoining the “Villares del Saz” substation. It will have voltage and current transformers with similar characteristics to those installed at the Villar del Águila substation for use as a boundary point with Red Eléctrica Española.

-A 220KV Measurement Center, attached to the “Villares del Saz” substation. It will have voltage and current transformers with characteristics similar to those installed in the Villar del Águila substation for use as a border point with Red Eléctrica Española.
